Menu Options

Menu Screenshot During the self-running mode, hit any key or move the mouse or joystick to bring up the main menu. To hide the menu again, either wait a few seconds, or hit the Esc (Escape) key. When a menu item is highlighted, hit the space bar or Enter key to select that item, or hit the appropriate fire button on your mouse or joystick.

While a game is in progress, bring up the menu at any time by hitting the Esc (Escape) key on your keyboard. Note: When bringing up the menu while a game is in progress, the 'Play' option will instead be replaced by a 'Quit Game' option, allowing you to abort a game in progress at any time. Just in case your boss walks in.

Starting the Game

To start a game, choose 'Play' from the main menu with the arrow keys, then hit 'Enter' or the spacebar on your keyboard. You may also select 'Play' with the mouse or joystick by hitting the appropriate fire button.

Playing the Game

Solve each level by jumping on each block to change its color. Avoid falling boulders, pink flyers, and green blobs. And an important safety tip: Don't fall off the edge of the world!

Jumpy's goal is to change each cube's color. There are several different types of cubes:

Split CubeSplit CubeThis cube must be jumped on twice to change it's color.
Light Bulb CubeLight Bulb CubeEvery time this cube is jumped onto, its color is reversed. Be careful once these cubes are already changed!

There are many nasty enemies trying to stop Jumpy. The elements that Jumpy will encounter include:

Setting Joystick Controls

Jumpy

To setup the joystick in Windows XP, go to the 'Control Panel' for your PC by selecting Start, then Settings, then Control Panel. Next, double click on 'Game Controllers'. Select the controller you wish to use and then click on the 'Properties' button. After that, select the Settings tab in the new window and then click on the 'Calibrate' button. Follow the instructions and once you have finished, the game should be ready to play using the joystick. For newer versions of Windows, the Control Panel may be located in a different location on your computer.

To setup the joystick in Windows 7, go to the Control Panel and choose 'Devices and Printers'. Look for the icon for your joystick there.

  • Clear boards quickly by jumping on each cube as little as possible
